This part-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role is based in Lakeland, FL. The Manufacturing Engineer will participate in the design, development, and optimization of custom additive manufacturing machines and related processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting process planning, improving manufacturability, collaborating with mechanical and industrial engineering teams, and assisting with machine setup, testing, and validation. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, documenting standard work and procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement activities on the shop floor. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure product quality, safety, and reliable performance.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
Candidates should possess proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles applied to machinery and mechanical systems.
Candidates should possess ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications.
Candidates should possess problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and process improvement in a production environment.
Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership.
Relevant experience in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or industrial equipment is highly beneficial.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing, (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred.
