Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist

We are searching for a highly skilled Therapy Medical Physicist to join our dedicated team of experts. This clinics you will support have both Varian and Elekta equipment.
Treatment planning systems include Mosaiq, Monaco, Aria & Eclipse.
This role will partner with a great team of several physicists, dosimetrist (onsite and remote), and physicians.

Perform weekly and monthly radiation measurements, as well as yearly calibration on all treatment units.
Monitor equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department to ensure that it is functioning correctly and safely.
Maintain regulatory agency records and reports.
Analyze alternative treatment plans and supervise dosimetry treatment planning functions.
Implement assessment/treatment and care based on the developmental stages of the patient.
Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Medical Physics.

  • A board certification by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics, or board eligibility as demonstrated by graduation from a CAMPEP accredited residency in therapy physics.
  • 2+ years of clinical Therapy Medical Physics experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate initiative, organization, and ownership of daily tasks and projects.
  • Requires ability to use and move equipment.

Requires a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, stopping, lifting, carrying.
Exposure to radiation, communicable diseases, and other conditions common to radiation therapy setting.
Occasional evening or weekend work.
