Mental Health Psychotherapist - Part Time

Tri-State Psychotherapy Group is seeking compassionate and motivated psychotherapists to join our growing group practice. We are looking for clinicians who value collaboration, clinical autonomy, flexibility, and providing high-quality, individualized mental health care.

Required Qualifications

Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited program

Current Massachusetts LCSW or LICSW license required

Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

Ability to work independently while also participating in a collaborative group practice

Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care

Comfortable using an electronic health record (EHR) and providing telehealth services

Scheduling Requirements

Minimum of 15 clinical hours per week

At least 5 hours per week must be offered during evening and/or weekend hours

Clinicians are expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule

Additional hours are available for clinicians interested in developing a full-time caseload

Full-time status is reached at a minimum of 25 clinical hours per week

Clinicians who meet and maintain the 25-hour-per-week full-time threshold are eligible for the practice’s full-time employee benefits, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each benefit plan

Compensation
Tri-State Psychotherapy Group offers a competitive clinical hourly compensation structure based on licensure:

Massachusetts LCSW: Starting at $51 per clinical hour

Massachusetts LICSW: Starting at $61 per clinical hour

Additional pay differentials are available for clinicians who hold an active clinical license in New York and/or Connecticut

Additional pay differentials are available for multilingual clinicians who are able to provide therapy in more than one language

Compensation may increase based on applicable differentials, licensure, and other qualifications.

Work Location
Clinicians have the flexibility to provide services virtually, in person, or through a hybrid schedule.

Our Massachusetts office is located in Pittsfield, MA, and is available to clinicians who would like to provide in-person therapy. In-person work is not required for clinicians whose position and caseload can be maintained virtually.

Position Responsibilities

Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy based on clinician experience and areas of competence

Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

Complete timely and clinically appropriate progress notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation

Utilize evidence-based and clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions

Assess and respond appropriately to clinical risk and safety concerns

Maintain appropriate therapeutic and professional boundaries

Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community professionals when clinically appropriate and authorized by the client

Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding scheduling and treatment

Maintain an agreed-upon caseload and schedule

Attend required supervision, consultation, meetings, and trainings as applicable

Follow Tri-State Psychotherapy Group policies and procedures, HIPAA requirements, professional ethical standards, and applicable state and federal regulations

Maintain an active Massachusetts license and fulfill applicable continuing education requirements

Maintain a private, professional, and HIPAA-appropriate environment when providing telehealth services

Parenting and family concerns

Perinatal and postpartum mental health

College students and young adults

Career stress and burnout

Military members and veterans

Relationship concerns and life transitions

Experience with therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, family systems approaches, or other evidence-based modalities are welcome.

Employment and Benefits
This is a W-2 employee position with both part-time and full-time opportunities available.

Part-time clinicians must maintain at least 15 clinical hours per week.

Clinicians who reach and maintain a minimum of 25 clinical hours per week are considered full-time and become eligible for full-time employee benefits in accordance with the terms and eligibility requirements of the applicable benefit plans.
