Pharmacist - Full Time, Evenings - Pharmacy

Role Description The Pharmacist-in-Charge is a full-time, on-site role based in Corpus Christi, TX, responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role includes verifying prescriptions, monitoring for drug interactions, counseling patients and caregivers, and coordinating with prescribers to optimize medication therapy. The Pharmacist-in-Charge will supervise and support pharmacy technicians, manage workflow, and maintain accurate dispensing, documentation, and inventory records. Daily responsibilities also include overseeing immunization services, upholding quality and safety standards, and preparing for the launch and oversight of compounding services. The role involves contributing to policy development, staff training, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a high standard of patient care and operational excellence.

Strong pharmacy practice expertise, including experience with prescription verification, clinical review, and patient counseling in a community or independent pharmacy setting.

Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, including delegation, workflow management, and adherence to scope-of-practice regulations.

Thorough knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, controlled substance management, and documentation standards.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree and active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Texas (or eligibility for licensure before start date).

Previous leadership or Pharmacist-in-Charge/manager experience preferred; experience in pediatrics, ADHD medications, hospice, or compounding is an advantage.

Ability to work on-site full time, including possible evenings or weekends as needed to support pharmacy operations.
