Nursing Assistant

Join our team of Certified Nursing Assistants and Nurses! Hallway Healthcare provides in-home nursing care to retired Nuclear and Federal Workers that have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA. These are the workers who have retired from Department of Energy facilities such Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Sandia National Lab Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford Linear, etc. Unlike many home health agencies that require multiple short visits per shift, Hallway Healthcare typically assigns you to one patient per shift, allowing for more focused, consistent, and meaningful care.

Certified Nursing Assistants are responsible for light cleaning, cooking, and doing laundry, as well as assisting clients with bathing, showering, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. Additionally, personal care aides might consult with a client's family members and nursing staff to address their concerns regarding the client's health, nutrition, and overall well-being. Computer literate, with EMR experience.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

Livermore: 4 hours a day, 3 days a week OR 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am available 7 days a week (new patient with all shifts available)

Saturday, Sunday and Monday 7pm-7am; or per diem for shifts 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am

8 and 12 hour shifts may be available in other areas.

Pay: $25/hr for 8 hour (or less) shifts; $22/hr (overtime provided) for 12 hour shifts

Light Housekeeping

Job Types: Full time, Part time

Complete documentation on Alayacare by the end of each shift

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse

Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, cooking, feeding and light housekeeping

Assist with patient assessments and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff

Strong patient care skills and ability to provide compassionate care

Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures

Experience with home care services is a plus

The role involves managing challenging interactions with staff, public officials and private representatives while interpreting and implementing departmental policies and procedures.

Employee will have to travel to a variety of patient homes and perform in conditions that vary greatly depending upon the client's home environment. Some homes will be clean, neat, and maintained at a comfortable temperature.
