Position: Yard Operator
Salary - $27.43 per hour
Shift - 12 Hour Rotation, 645am-7 pm and 645pm - 7 am
Responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the Forklift and other heavy industrial mobile equipment; including but not limited to pulling and picking baled paper from the staging areas as per Mill production specifications.
Operates Forklift and other heavy industrial mobile equipment to transport and/or move, stock, and store baled paper material in a specified staging area.
Required to work a 12 hour day and night rotational shift.
Required to work through scheduled holidays.
Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in staging areas.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
Must be able to follow directions under limited supervision
High school diploma or GED.
Must be Forklift certified.
Minimum 3 years of Forklift experience preferably.
Prior work experience driving heavy industrial mobile equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read, write and speak in English and follow instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required to maintain a current Fork Lift Truck Operator License.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work outdoors and is exposed to wet, hot/humid and cold conditions.
