Job Details Specialty: PCU / Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit Employment Type: Travel Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week Hours Per Week: 36 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday; float pool assignment across PCU and MS/Tele acuity units Start Date: September 7, 2026 Location: Lima, Ohio 45801 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred At least 6 months of acute care hospital nursing experience preferred BLS certification required ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire NIH Stroke Certification preferred CCRN or PCCN preferred Dysrhythmia exam required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a float pool environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU, Stepdown, and MS/Tele settings Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards of practice Monitor hemodynamics and respond confidently to changes in patient condition Care for patients with chest tubes and temporary pacing needs Assist with conscious sedation and advanced respiratory support modalities Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care Advocate for patient safety, quality improvement, and compassionate clinical care Support patient and family education throughout the plan of care Maintain professionalism, clear communication, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced hospital environment Apply now for this Travel PCU Registered Nurse opportunity in Lima, Ohio and join a supportive progressive care team today.
