Our Material Handling Group is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to support our multi ‑ site Midwest operations across Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. This role is based out of our Bolingbrook, IL branch and reports to the HR Manager for the Midwest Material Handling Group.

As the HRG, you will be involved in all aspects of the operation and serve as a representative for the senior leadership and branch management teams. Serve as an HR generalist (excluding payroll and benefits).
Leverage strong relationship building skills to navigate business opportunities/ideas/concerns from team members, management, and senior leadership.
Manage labor relations for 1 Union collective bargaining agreement across 4 Alta locations in Illinois.
Handle all employee relations issues including investigations.
Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various HR-related topics, including compliance, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion.
Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with best practices and legal regulations.
Expected to travel 15-20% to regional branches on a quarterly schedule and as operational needs arise.
Bachelor's degree in HR or related discipline is highly preferred.
2+ years of progressive HR experience is a must.
Must have a passion for HR.
Understand HR policies and programs, benefit plans, communicates and reinforces organization values.
Computer programs: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Language skills: High:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
High -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
