Electronics Calibrator

An Instrumentation Helper assists a Journeyman to layout, fabricate, assemble, repair and installs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping, tubing, and other instrument needs.Level IV: Competent to complete Journeyman level Instrument tasks with minimal supervision.Overview of Primary Duties:Assist in layout and installation in accordance with instructions or work requirements using drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manual.Measures thread, cuts and assemble cable tray and cable tray support systems under the direct supervision of a Journeyman.Assist in installing tubing and clamps into cable tray systems.Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install tubing and piping.Drill and tap holes in structures and attach brackets, guards, etc., in accordance with the guidance of a journeyman.As determined by the site a helper may operate man lifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, band saws, hose cutting/crimping devices, pressure pumps, and hydraulic pumping units.Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.Participate in workplace inspections.Participate in required and assigned training.Provide suggestions to improve Safety.Other related duties as needed and assigned by Field Supervision.Qualifications:Level IV:Thirty-six (36) + months of heavy industrial-related instrument experienceOther verified experiences or certifications with instrument experience Level III:Twenty-four (24) to thirty-five (35) months of heavy industrial-related instrument experience Level II:Twelve (12) to twenty-three (23) months of heavy industrial-related instrument experience Level I:Zero (0) to eleven (11) months of heavy industrial-related instrument experienceOne (1) year of industrial experienceRequirements:Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentationPersonal hand tools required for craft as established on the Yates Industrial Minimum Tool ListSuccessful completion of required Safety training to include, but not limited to, Confined Space, LOTO, and Working at HeightsPhysical Demands/Essential Job Functions:This job description reflects an assignment of essential functions; Physical requirements for this role may include but are not limited to:All weather conditions at varying temperaturesWork at varying elevationsWill work in windy and dusty environmentsModerate to high noise levelsThe project site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and toolsAbility to hear bells, whistles, and alarmsRequired to wear safety-approved body harnesses when working at 4 or aboveRequired to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and liftingAbility to talk and hear to communicateWill use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and toolsMust be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 25 lbs.Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral visionAbout Yates ConstructionRanked among the top commercial and industrial construction companies in the country by Engineering News-Record, Yates Construction is family-owned.
