Air Force Materiel Command
The primary purpose of this position is to implement and manage the installation level Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program and serve as consultant to the commander on institutionalizing core values for the Department of the Air Force.

Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Serves as the installation Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) to comply with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, developing and managing prevention and support programs and activities for sexual assault and other areas of interpersonal violence and victim needs, as directed by the commander.
Ensures the development and implementation of prevention programs relating to sexual assault.
Develops, implements, and maintains an installation victim support system which must address a wide variety of issues and problems.
Serves as the installation commander's consultant for all sexual assault issues and represents the commander and vice commander on committees, working groups, conferenes, and community meetings.

This position may require drug testing, and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection.
Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the position.
Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.
Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
This announcement may result in a 120-day register that may be used to fill like vacancies for 120 days after the closing date. Must obtain and maintain DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certificate and recertification from the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA), as specified in DoD and AF policy.
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions.
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
Experience interpreting and implementing policy and knowledge of the military, DoD, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program, victim advocacy, or advocacy services. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with organizations and individuals to identify, establish, modify, and provide victim support assistance.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE : Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., religious; spiritual; community; Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. If position has a positive degree requirement or education forms the basis for qualifications, you MUST submit transcriptswith the application. Official transcripts are not required at the time of application; This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-03 equivalent to a GS-12 to GS-13.
