Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN with trauma and neuro experience for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring a CO or compact RN license.
Details

• Level 2 trauma acute care hospital setting with a 16-suite Operating Room
• Average of 30 cases per day covering General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics procedures
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour shifts with varied start times (0630-1900, 0900-2130, or night shift 2100-0700)
• Call requirement of approximately 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff, with a 30-minute call response time
• On-shift support includes a charge nurse, house supervisor, and 2 OR techs
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Floating may be required within Zone 1 (PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) only in cases of extreme need

Active CO or Compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
BLS (AHA) certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Trauma and Neuro experience required
Charge nurse experience preferred
Driver's license copy required for submission
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information

Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, ENT, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, and Robotics
Scrubs provided by facility
Unit and department-specific orientation provided, with an in-state presence required during orientation week even if initial modules are remote
Holiday call coverage expected, with preference given for 4th of July
Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered
Candidates previously employed directly (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year are not eligible
Candidates employed through outside PRN staffing firms will be considered
