Our Transportation group provides our clients with comprehensive planning, project management, design, and engineering services for all phases of transportation projects. Your creativity will be applied to a variety of projects including urban and rural roadways, freeways and interchanges, multi-modal facilities, and alternative intersection designs. In addition, there will be opportunities to be involved in transportation related environmental studies and alternative delivery projects. Your Key Responsibilities Perform as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager and technical specialist on roadway engineering projects, responsible for invoicing, managing, and monitoring financial performance of project budgets.

Produce detailed, high-quality design plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable procedures and standards.

Peer review plans and provide quality control reviews of technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.

Mentor junior staff in technical design elements and the development of project documents. Prepare reports and develop planning documents.

Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project’s purpose and the client’s needs.

Participate in identifying project pursuit opportunities, manage client relationships, develop new clients, and assist in the preparation of proposals to win those pursuits.

Your Capabilities and Credentials Proficient in design of transportation/civil engineering projects including preparation of plans and specifications, and cost estimates for all aspects of roadway construction.

Ability to lead one or more design teams through all phases of project production.

Proficient in traffic control plan production and sequence of construction for roadway projects including Transportation Management Plans, temporary signing, striping and barricades, and detour plans.

Sufficient experience to fulfill construction support services such as plan changes, responses to Requests for Information, and shop drawing reviews.

Recent experience planning and developing Roadway projects in Microstation, Geopak and OpenRoads is desired.

Experience with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) Roadway Design Guidelines and Project Delivery Network is desired.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Civil Engineering.

10 years of progressive engineering and project management Transportation experience.

This role will primarily work in an office setting; however, some field work may be required. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
