Mental Health LPN - Weekends

Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week), Day Shift
The LPN - PACT is responsible for the overall medical care of assigned individuals, including the delivery service of basic nursing assessments; consultation with physicians; and carrying out of doctor's orders. 75% of nursing care is provided in the community setting.
The successful completion of a course of study that allows for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of VA is required.

One year of experience providing nursing services as an LPN is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge of community mental health and public health in order to provide advocacy and enhance an individual's treatment and access to community resources.
Knowledge of nursing best practice.
Knowledge of the principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature related to mental health, physical health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse.
Knowledge of psychiatric/medical medications/treatments.
Ability to perform medical interviews in order to obtain information and to formulate appropriate treatment plans and referrals.
Ability to produce, read, and relay medical lab results.
Ability to promote positive, collaborative, and professional working relations among co-workers and representatives in the community.
