Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Oklahoma

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Days: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days. Times are flexible as long as they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.

Job Description: The Physical Therapist Assistant will utilize evidence-based practices to provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders. Under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist, the assistant will be responsible for administering various rehabilitation procedures and assessing patient progress.

Responsibilities:

Provide skilled treatment interventions to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Administer therapeutic exercises, ambulation, manual techniques, and modalities as part of the rehabilitation plan.

Assess patient progress and communicate adjustments to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Document all required information in the electronic documentation system.

Attend required meetings and participate in trainings and in-services.

Supervise and support students under the guidance of the supervising Physical Therapist.

Adhere to APTA and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (REQUIRED).
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience (REQUIRED).
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license (REQUIRED).
• New graduates with Level II experience will be considered.
