Jump-start your career as a(an) CLS I today with Methodist Healthcare System.Clinical Laboratory Scientist I is responsible for performing routine and complex medical laboratory tests and analysis of results; assuming accountability for accurate results and responsibility for assigned equipment within section/department.Performs specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.Understands, performs, and practices preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; Understands, performs, and practices quality control to include running controls, evaluating data, documentation of data, and taking corrective action as required. Communicates any relevant QC information to supervisor/lead tech.High school diploma (or equivalent), with 4 years of clinical lab experience. Associates Degree from an accredited MLT training program. -Bachelors Degree from a 4 year accredited CLS program.Methodist Hospital Texsan is a full service 120 bed acute care hospital specializing as one of South Texas’s premier heart and orthopedic hospitals.
