The Hawaii State Judiciary is currently accepting applications for two (2) Attorney vacancies. Family Court Attorney – Kapolei, Oahu (Recruitment Number 26-089TO) Family Court Attorney, SR-26 Step D ($6,728 per month) to SR-26 Step L ($9,209 per month)* effective July 1, 2026.

This position serves as a legal advisor to the Board of Senior Family Court Judges and Directors, drafting policies and procedures for judges and staff at the direction of the First Circuit Senior Family Court Judge or designee. It includes drafting policies and procedures to implement legislative acts affecting the Family Courts, creating necessary legal forms, supervising the Legal Research Unit, revising and updating the Hawaii Family Court Rules, and maintaining statewide consistency of policies and procedures. Additional duties include providing legal research assistance, drafting legal opinions and memoranda, coordinating legislative efforts, and performing other related responsibilities as assigned.

Attorney (Program) I – Lihue, Kauai (Recruitment Number 25-236TO) SR-24 Step D to Step L ($6,221 to $8,517 per month)* effective July 1, 2026.

Responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, recommendations, and technical support to the Chief Court Administrator, Chief Judge, Judges, and administrators of the Fifth Circuit Court. May assist with mortgage foreclosure and other specific case types under the Fifth Circuit’s jurisdiction, and provide staff specialist services that support the initiatives of the Judiciary, court operations, and programs.
