Summary:
Responsible for assisting the bartender by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist bartenders with opening and closing of the bar.

Monitor and replenish ice, fruit, beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and glasses throughout the shift in both general and VIP areas.

Respond to bartender calls for bar needs.

Clear bar and tables as needed.

Prepare requisitions for depleted bar supplies during shift.

Maintain cleanliness of work prep and serving areas according to State Board of Health standards.

Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Respond to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude to ensure guest satisfaction.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:
Knowledge of internet software.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; less than one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

Customer service skills

Stress management skills

Ability to be thorough

Physical Demands:
The physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, tasting, and smelling. Must frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment, and color vision.

Work Environment:
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold/heat, wet/humid conditions, and vibration. Noise level is usually loud. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
