Role Description GridWrap is hiring three full-time Manufacturing Engineers to support the development and production of our grid-enhancing and grid-hardening products. These roles are responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing processes that enable high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective production.

The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with design, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to translate product designs into robust manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include developing process documentation, work instructions, tooling requirements, manufacturing fixtures, and process controls; analyzing production data to improve quality, throughput, and safety; and supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through production.

The Manufacturing Engineer will conduct root-cause analysis of production issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and work with external manufacturing partners, machine shops, and suppliers as needed. This role will also contribute to design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance with applicable quality and industry standards.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; Strong foundation in manufacturing engineering principles and manufacturing processes, with experience developing and improving production workflows.

Knowledge of materials science, composite materials and processing methods, and mechanical engineering principles, including tolerance analysis, material selection, and design for manufacturability (DFM).

Hands-on familiarity with manufacturing and machining processes, including experience working with machine shops, fabricators, and contract manufacturers.

Experience with CAD tools and engineering drawings for manufacturing documentation (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar).

Proficiency with structured problem-solving and data analysis tools, including root-cause analysis, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and basic statistical methods.

Understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies, including ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.

Ability to work effectively in both engineering and manufacturing environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Experience with composite materials manufacturing, processing, bonding, curing, trimming, and quality control.

Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and production ramp-up activities.

Experience in energy, power systems, utility infrastructure, industrial equipment, or other hardware-based manufacturing environments.

Experience implementing process improvements that increase quality, yield, throughput, or manufacturing efficiency.
