Job Description
The Emergency Department is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (ED RN) with at least 3 years of experience, including some pediatric experience, to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The unit features 64 beds and caters to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing medical emergencies, including strokes, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarctions, and respiratory failure.
Administer medications and manage drips, including pressors, vasodilators, and anti-arrhythmics.
Conduct assessments and triage patients effectively.
Utilize specialty equipment, such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun, to enhance patient care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate treatment plans.
Floating to different units may be required.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Active New York RN License, verified through NURSYS.
Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
Demonstrated travel nursing experience is required.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
Skills checklist that matches the ED specialty.
