JOB SUMMARY

The Beverage Server is responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an excellent and timely manner to ensure quality guest service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greets guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner
Takes orders from guests and delivers and dispenses correct beverages
Demonstrates salesmanship with complete menu and product knowledge
Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of workstation
Performs responsible alcohol service with regards to guest limitations
Utilizes all bar equipment and point-of-sale systems
Communicates to management in a timely fashion any guest compliments or complaints
Performs general upkeep and cleaning duties, such as mopping floors, wiping countertops, cleaning food prep areas, rolling silverware, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills
Strong and accurate money handling skills
Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and ability to operate point-of-sale systems
Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and mixed drinks as well as gaming operations etiquette

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months prior work experience preferred
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume.
