Permanent-Medicine Gastroenterology Physician

The Central Alabama Veteran Health Care System (CAVHCS) located in Montgomery and Tuskegee, AL is seeking a energetic Gastroenterologist to provide consultation and treatment for patients in all patient care settings and performs diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures.

Outpatient clinics may be held on both the Montgomery and Tuskegee campuses. He/She participates in student and resident training programs.

The Gastroenterologist may have on-call time and may work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Skill in performing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy, including stent placement, PEGs, and dilation. Maintain privileges at all times at the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. - There will be instances when the selectee may be required to work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as priorities demonstrate a need on a rotating basis.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
