Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a Level I Trauma Center
Must be board certified in ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine)
Locum need is equivalent of 2 FTEs
Providers must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
Preference for providers open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated freestanding emergency rooms
Main hospital campus may consider less than 12-hour shifts; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
Available shift times: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, and 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
No call involved
All standard emergency room procedures required
Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (must have taken ATLS at least one time)
Average patient census of 106 with an annual ER admission rate of 34%
Most common cases include trauma (penetrating), a wide range of general cases, critically ill patients, extensive procedures, and high volume of transfers accepted from other hospitals
Support staff covers all areas except pediatrics
