***Full-time Journeyman Pipefitter***

Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs all types of piping systems for maintenance, tank and new construction.

Plans detail of working procedure and selects materials in accordance with engineering standards.

Sets up and operates bending, threading and cutoff equipment and uses hand tools or torch to shape, prepare and fabricate pipe for work to be done.

Tests, inspects, dismantles, repairs, replaces or installs any type of high- or low-pressure piping, tubing, fittings, fixtures and parts for the installation, maintenance and repair of pipelines for air, water, steam, oils, gases, acid, caustics, etc.

Handles or makes provision for the handling of materials, equipment and tools to and from job site in shop or field in connection with work.

Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.

Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance/turnaround/or construction experience.

Must be able to pass the Pipefitter Skills Test at or above 70% or complete the NCCER certification for your craft.

Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active status within the approved drug testing program.

Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.

Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, controls and tools.

Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work off of platforms. Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.

Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.

35.00 to $41.00 per hour. Full range for this position, available overtime: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour. Pay depends on qualifications, experience, skill set, location, internal equity, and other factors.
