Check out our website to discover the Tenneco WayJob Description - Manufacturing Engineer ABOUT TENNECOAt Tenneco, we don’t follow industry standards; Whether it’s our Core Values-radical candor, simplify, organizational velocity, tenacious execution and win-or our Get Stuff Done (GSD) mindset, we’re determined to become the most trusted partner and best manufacturer and distributor to the transportation industry.Check out our website to discover the Tenneco Way.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Manufacturing Engineer assists Engineering and Operations during the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, conducts studies to improve processes and assists maintenance in the troubleshooting of production equipment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESComply with all corporate and plant level Safety RequirementsResponsible for optimization of manufacturing processesDevelopment of standard work instructionsDevelopment of standard maintenance operation procedures for repairing and preventative operations including periodic maintenance and daily checks.Serve as a resource for troubleshooting and preventative work on new and existing equipment.Ensures plans are in place to meet all performance indicator targets/goalsAble to work collaboratively with multiple departments to continuously improve equipment reliability and uptime in the facility.Actively participate to provide improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity.Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously without impacting timelines.Ensure efficient handover of new installations to Operations team through proper documentation, training and follow up.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervision.Perform job duties in line with company policies, procedures and work instructions pertaining to IATF16949, ISO 14001 and Safety requirements.JOB REQUIREMENTSBS in Engineering or equivalent experienceEngineering, Maintenance, or Operations roles in a manufacturing environment preferredExperience in PLC’s, Robotics and Welding processes is preferredMS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).Strong understanding of manufacturing and maintenance requirements to meet personnel safety, and quality standards.Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities
