Hours: 12-hour shifts- 6:45pm to 7:15am

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

We are seeking a Definitive Observation Unit CNA, also referredtoDOU Certified Nursing Assistant, Step-Down Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)or Progressive Care CNA in our Definitive Observation Unit (DOU).This role involves providing direct patient care to individuals who require closer monitoring than on a regular med-surg floor butarenot critical enough for the ICUin our DOU.

Responsibilities

Take and record frequent vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation

Assistpatients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, and feeding support

Turn, reposition, andassistpatients with mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques and equipment

Monitor and document intake and output whileobservingfor and reporting any changes in patient condition

Support nursing staff in providing high-quality care to patients requiring close observation in a step-down unit

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.

Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology

Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician?s office preferred.
