About This Role

We are seeking a passionate Lead Early Childhood Educarer to join our thriving preschool classroom. Our mixed-ages program, catering to 3-4 year olds, is nestled in the heart of the Idlewild-South community, surrounded by a family-oriented center that emphasizes a play-based learning approach.
Nurturing the whole child is at the core of our Creative Curriculum, which focuses on fun weekly learning themes that value and appreciate your creative input.

What You'll Do
Develop and implement engaging Creative Curriculum lesson plans aligned with NC Foundations to foster a love for learning.
Collaborate with staff to maintain Best Practices and prepare for QRIS Pathway 2 to achieve 5-Star accreditation.
Ensure a safe and clean learning environment that promotes growth and development.
Communicate effectively and calmly with children, staff, and families, building strong relationships.
Monitor and document child development, making adjustments to meet individual learning needs and differences.
Create a classroom culture that values kindness, helpfulness, and good manners, where prayers may be shared before meals but are never mandatory.

Requirements
Current NC Criminal Background check for child care is a non-negotiable requirement.
Medical exam & TB clearance are also essential for a successful application.
The North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) is a mandatory requirement for lead teachers in NC childcare centers, designed to ensure quality care and foundational education. It's typically earned by completing the EDU 119 ('Intro to Early Childhood Education')
Physically capable of lifting 50lbs, squatting, bending, and running are essential physical requirements.
Be technology proficient for online training requirements and developmental documentation.
Complete all annual NCDHHS requirements for Early Childhood Development.

Nice To Haves
An Associates Degree or certificate in Early Childhood Development would be a wonderful addition to your qualifications.
