About the Position
# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas**Start Date:** August 31, 2026 **Location:** Austin, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period required; no call required**Highlights:** - High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 12 LDR beds, 5 Antepartum beds, 4 OBED beds, and 3 OR rooms- Collaborative self-scheduling model with highly engaged, team-oriented nursing staff- Patient ratios of 1:2 and 1:1 based on transition and acuity- Diverse case mix including high-risk obstetrics, massive transfusion protocols, PASD (placenta accrete spectrum disorders), C-sections, SVD, twin deliveries, and emergent C-Hysterectomy- Level II Trauma designation for obstetrical patients with Level I and II injuries; Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II- CPN and Meditech EMR system; Alaris and CADD epidural pumps**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility- Minimum 3 years of experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery- Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) or Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)- ACLS, NRP, BLS, and CPI certifications required- Experience with massive transfusion protocols and PASD preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** Join a Joint Commission-accredited Women's Services team where collaboration and excellence are the foundation of care.
