Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse, Traveler

Home Health Infusion Registered Nurse, Traveler meets the needs of patients with implanted drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments and patient education. Our RN Travelers demonstrate professional leadership while providing nursing care primarily in patients homes, where care is reviewed and adapted accordingly to facilitate mutually agreed upon goals. This role involves both national travel and local care duties, within the Salt Lake, UT area. This is a Monday through Friday 8am-5:30 PM schedule.

Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for all elements of the nursing process including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation for each patient; assists with telephonic and supportive nursing needs of the department; acts as a resource for referral sources, patients, and healthcare team, serve as preceptor utilizing established protocols

Collaborates with the prescribing provider, patient and their caregivers; ensures orders are received and they are appropriate and actionable.

Acts in a manner consistent with ANA and all applicable State Board of Nursing standards; successfully completes the assigned training program upon hire; promotes integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life; maintains patient records per policy in compliance with state, HIPAA and Accrediting Agency requirements.

Educates patients and caregivers on a healthy lifestyle and promotes informed decisions and integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life; tailor education to meet each patient/caregiver's healthcare literacy; promotes integrative care techniques to assist the patient with symptom management to improve quality of life.

Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• RN licensure with ability to become licensed in another state
• 3 years clinical nursing experience
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• ICU/ER/OR and/or home care experience preferred
• BSN and compact RN license preferred.
• Strong clinical background: Understands standard vs. urgent response; Ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions. Possess ability to adapt quickly as assignment locations and duration may change abruptly.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational and teamwork skills; Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills; Ability to work independently and to be resourceful; Proactive problem solver.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to independently navigate all aspects of travel including but not limited to: air, rail, car rental, short-term and long-term lodging, and meal expensing.

Ability to perform one-person CPR continuously, according to American Heart/Red Cross standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to travel via car, train or plane, stand, sit, walk, see, hear; use hands and fingers regularly, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $110,000 annual

Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package. Actual pay will be based on several factors such as qualifications and skills for the role plus geographic location.
