RN / ICU Hospital Day Shift

Registered Nurse – PICU

Cincinnati, OH | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Days | 4×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 48-Hour Contract

Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2.

Float within the hospital as needed, including to the Cardiac ICU / CVPICU, based on census demands; travelers are prioritized for floating when census decreases and are notified at the start of their shift.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems.

Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including every-other-weekend (EOW) commitment and a minimum of 2 holiday shifts.

Complete an onsite background check and fingerprinting on the first day of assignment.

Active RN license required at time of submission — single-state Ohio license or valid multi-state compact license accepted.

Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles will be considered local and local rates will apply.

Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred.

Prior exposure to Cardiac ICU (CICU/CVPICU) environments.

Any additional nursing certifications (e.g., First-time travelers are welcome, provided the required specialty experience is met — a great opportunity to begin your travel nursing career at a well-regarded pediatric facility.

Blocked scheduling may be accommodated for candidates willing to work all weekends (Friday–Sunday), offering schedule flexibility within contract requirements.
