Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pensacola, Florida. Shift: Days

One year of recent experience as a Cytotechnologist

A Cytotechnologist is a specialized laboratory professional responsible for examining cell samples under a microscope to detect cancer, infections, or other diseases. Working primarily in pathology and diagnostic laboratories, they analyze specimens from various body sites, including the cervix, lungs, and body fluids, to identify cellular abnormalities. Ensure quality control and quality assurance measures are met to maintain laboratory accuracy and reliability

Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language

Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend

Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment

Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
