When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

Because we are looking for an AM Server!

What does the ROLE entail? Responsible for submitting breakfast and lunch menu selections

Servers will engage in casual conversation and create memorable guest experiences with personalized and friendly customer service

Fast-paced environment with constant customer interaction and cash handling

Maintaining well organized area, a sanitary environment and restocking station as needed, completing side work as necessary for daily operation

Demonstrates Hyatt’s values: Empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing

Your EXPERIENCE: Prior restaurant experience greatly preferred

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for long periods of time and continuously walk

Ability to lift and carry 10lbs-20 lbs

Gain menu knowledge and be able to give recommendations from the restaurant menu to the guests, upsell menu items, able to accurately relay buffet offerings

Ability to multi-task and handle a section of tables ranging from 6 to 9 tables

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends and holidays

Ability to work in a team oriented environment

Committed to delivering a high level of customer service

Aware of proper telephone etiquette
