Human Resources Generalist (Remote-Flexible)

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

LOCATION: Cumberland Valley- Mt. Vernon, KY with occasional travel to Paintsville, Lexington, Corbin and other assigned locations throughout service areas

PAY RATE: $20.92 Hourly (Pay is negotiable based on experience)

Summary

Provides general administrative support to a variety of Human Resources functions including Employment, Benefits and Payroll. Assists with and serves as backup for other HR functions as needed. Administers and provides support to employee recognition and engagement components. Fields CAP admin support requests as needed. Provides Administrative support to HR Management.

Responsibilities

Support HR functions including Employment, Benefits and Payroll as a liaison with vendors and scheduling lift tests, drug screenings, and other related activities.

Manage employee benefits liaison activities; order and distribute bereavement crosses, cards, baby gifts, retirement gifts, etc.

Administer employee recognition and engagement functions; schedule announcements, send invitations, set up meeting rooms, order supplies.

Maintain the GoCanvas platform and HRIS; ensure data accuracy and system efficiency; create documents, surveys and checklists within CAP’s HR systems.

Provide general administrative assistance to staff and supervisors in all programs as needed.

Qualifications

Education: Associate’s in related field required; Bachelor’s in related field preferred.

Experience: 4 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience. Preferred experience in HRIS systems (Paycom or similar) and benefits administration including FMLA, 401(k).

Certifications & Licensure: Possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s License and maintain a safe driving record. CAP Driving Certification (or ability to obtain within first 90 days). Must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on personally owned vehicle with coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.

Physical Requirements: Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk; lift 45 lb; lift or move items with unknown weight or awkward shapes and sizes with assistance; sit for extended periods of time; good visual acuity with corrective lenses; good hearing capabilities.

Benefits

This position is eligible for hybrid remote after 90 days of successful employment. Hybrid remote is defined as two days remotely, three days in the office. A hybrid remote schedule can be eliminated at any time for any reason and is not guaranteed.
