Head of Marketing Automation (Remote)

Waybetter Marketing is a higher ed–focused marketing agency based in Columbia, Maryland. We’re looking for a savvy marketing automation manager with 3–5+ years of CRM/marketing automation experience within commuting distance. This hybrid role blends client-facing account management with hands‑on CRM architecture, campaign deployment, and CRM optimization.

Hybrid schedule (remote on Wednesdays and Fridays)

As a Marketing Automation Manager, you'll work in the leading CRM platform in the higher ed industry. You'll help institutions optimize their CRM systems to effectively recruit and enroll students. CRM Mastery : Utilizing marketing automation tools to launch campaigns and drive success.

Content Creation : Crafting concise, compelling content tailored to each channel.

Quality Assurance : Ensuring every email, website, SMS, and campaign is flawless before it reaches the audience.

Strategic Analysis : Continuously improving results through data‑driven insights, proactive problem‑solving, and strategic adjustments.

Data & Systems Strategy : Configure and optimize data infrastructure, integrations, and automation logic to support recruitment and operational workflows.

You have 3–5+ years using a CRM or marketing automation tool.

You’re both technically strong and client‑confident—equally comfortable building a portal as you are explaining why it matters.
