JOB SUMMARY It is the primary responsibility for the Baker to assist and support the bake shop operations, assuring the proper preparation of all baked items for our pie shop, Café, Cache restaurant, events/banquets and the day-to-day baking/pastry production.

This position is responsible for preparing/producing/baking breads, pies, pastries, cookies, and desserts according to standard recipes, in order to contribute to the overall guest satisfaction.

Exemplify a sense of urgency in the bakery.

Understanding of bakery menu; Produce consistent high-quality production for a variety of bakery items according to recipes and techniques within production timelines.

Able to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment with the understanding of pars, inventory and basic ordering within the operation.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associate's Degree in F& B and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute is helpful.

LICENSE/PERMITS REQUIRED State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1-year experience in a high-volume/fine dining/Banquet/Pastry production kitchen, preferably in a hotel/resort environment is helpful.

SCHEDULE This is not a Monday thru Friday job. It requires a flexible schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Protect the safety of self, team members and Ginger and Baker Guests at all times.

Promptly report any incidents and/or potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor.
