Underpinning the above are activities that provide visibility into, and critical mass around solving for, the core mental health challenges facing our region. These additional activities include convening around urgent and emergent issues, research, education, data collection, evaluation, and policy. The Tampa Bay Thrives Programs Manager will support the Senior Programs Director and President/CEO in the development, planning, oversight, and execution of TBT's full program portfolio, including our School-Based Wellness Rooms, youth mental health initiatives, stigma-reduction campaigns, digital resilience resources, community social connection programming, and workplace mental health.

This is fundamentally a project management role. The Programs Manager will coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams, vendors, contracts, and community partnerships at once, and will be relied on to translate high-level strategy into clear, actionable plans and see them through to execution. The ideal candidate has the executive function to think several steps ahead, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is genuinely comfortable operating with ambiguity - building the systems and processes a project needs rather than waiting for them to already be in place. This person also finds real joy in engaging with youth and supporting youth mental health, cultivating relationships with community partners and volunteers, and digging into research and data to strengthen program outcomes.

Serve as lead project manager across TBT's full program portfolio - school- based wellness rooms, youth mental health initiatives, stigma-reduction campaigns, digital resilience resources, community social connection programming, and workplace mental health - tracking timelines, milestones, budgets, and dependencies across multiple concurrent workstreams, contracts, and projects at once. This includes oversight of a yearly calendar of events, scheduling and managing workshops/trainings/camps, event planning, and oversight of capital improvement projects related to Wellness Room buildouts.

Vendor Management: overseeing project tasks and milestones with contracted vendors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on-time, and within budget.

Collaborate with youth leaders in school-based and out-of-school time settings to implement TBT programs related to youth and community mental wellness.

Initiate and facilitate communication between Wellness Room staff to ensure consistency in programming, protocols and standards across schools where appropriate; identify opportunities for collaboration and ways to leverage programming across sites.

Collate, analyze, and report on student survey data provided by Wellness Room staff on a monthly basis in accordance with established data collection and analysis protocols

Work closely with the Senior Programs Director and/or President & CEO in identifying and collaborating with community leaders and mental health experts to develop programs aimed at strengthening awareness of behavioral health issues and improving access to services for our communities.

Facilitate committee meetings and help guide the exploration and design for solutions.

Support strategic planning, annual planning, goal development, and development of the annual budget - and translate that strategy into concrete action plans, timelines, and day-to-day execution steps.

Research and stay abreast of best practices and solutions to inform work groups, distill trends, and provide analysis to guide decision-making.

Nurture and maintain working relationships with the local public school system(s), community-based organizations, and external consultants.

Monitor performance against program outcomes and utilize data to inform thinking about the program’s effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. With the Senior Programs Director and/or President & CEO, create organizational and workgroup dashboards to provide visibility on outcomes.

Manage vendors and facilitate positive and productive working relationships.

Manage TBT volunteer pool, to include maintaining accurate contact lists, planning volunteer engagement events, ensuring volunteers are properly trained prior to participating in TBT events.

Skills and Qualifications Experience in youth development preferably in education, social services, and/or the health industry.

Experience and passion for working with middle and high school youth in educational or out-of-school settings.

Demonstrates attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, polished, high-quality work. Strong data analysis and interpretive skills. Proven project management skills, with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple concurrent projects, contracts, vendors, and stakeholders at the same time.

Strong ability to think several steps ahead, anticipate needs, and translate strategic direction into concrete action plans and day-to-day execution.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Experience managing organizational dashboards (may include volunteer assignments focused on behavioral health needs, experience through community-based partnerships, or through direct management of programs).

Interest in education, community outreach, public speaking, communication of plans and ideas.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred but not required

Certification in Project Management or similar experience preferred

There may be night and weekend coverage of those events.

Schedule: TBT operates on a hybrid schedule with team members expected to be in its Westshore Tampa office a minimum of twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) and remote three days a week, subject to change. This is a full-time role requiring full availability during standard business hours, including the ability to attend in-person, offsite meetings as needed across the Tampa Bay region throughout the entire business week, and occasionally on weekends. A core part of this position is building and maintaining relationships with our school and community partners, and many of those meetings happen in person, including on remote work days.
