Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Endoscopy RN with the clinical judgment and procedural nursing experience to care for patients throughout the endoscopy process. This is a specialty procedural nursing role and is intended for RNs with relevant Endoscopy, GI, or closely related procedural nursing experience.
What You'll Do
Assess and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures
Provide nursing care and monitoring before, during, and after procedures
Assist physicians and the clinical team during endoscopic procedures
Monitor patients receiving sedation and recognize changes requiring prompt intervention
Support safe recovery, discharge readiness, and patient/family education
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established infection-prevention and patient-safety protocols

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Current New York State RN license and registration required
Endoscopy/GI or comparable procedural nursing experience strongly preferred
Current BLS required
ACLS preferred
Experience with procedural patient assessment, monitoring, recovery, and sedation-related care preferred
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and emergency-response skills
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented procedural environment
This is not a general bedside RN opportunity . Candidates should have nursing experience that demonstrates readiness to work safely and effectively in an Endoscopy/procedural setting.

$65.00 per hour
