Position Description
Western Industrial Contractors is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer I to join our Denver team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to contribute to a variety of industrial and structural projects while developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, and other systems
Generate structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and specifications
Assist project engineers and managers with project delivery
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in site visits, inspections, and field observations
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering
- 0-3 years of relevant experience (internships included)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, etc.) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
