At East River Medical Imaging, our mission is to consistently provide the highest quality and availability of diagnostic imaging with compassion and comfort for our patients. Each of our physicians is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Together, they represent all areas of sub-specialty medical imaging, including cross-sectional, Musculoskeletal, Oncologic and Neuroradiology. We are currently seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist to join our team. The incumbent will operate radiologic equipment and perform mammography procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease by performing the following duties.

Duties Prepares and positions patient for mammography procedures.

Moves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors based on patient characteristics and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.

Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.

Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.

Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed. Performs Quality Assurance tests as required by the MQSA. Assists with the MQSA inspection.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to perform diagnostic and screening Mammography as well as Stereotactic biopsies. training available.

or six months to one year related experience and/or training; Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office word processing software.

Certificates and Licenses: Mammography specialty training certification (ARRT-MG), NYS RT License with Injection, active BLS training.
