Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineering Graduate

We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of projects that improve water supply, wastewater collection, treatment, and environmental performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to develop practical engineering skills while working alongside experienced technical specialists on a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities will include assisting with hydraulic modelling, calculations, technical assessments, and the preparation of engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. You will contribute to the design of pipelines, pumping stations, storage facilities, treatment processes, and associated civil infrastructure. The role will also involve reviewing technical data, interpreting survey and site information, supporting permitting and regulatory submissions, attending site visits, and helping monitor construction progress and quality. You may be asked to coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, laboratories, and multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable standards and environmental requirements.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources, or a related engineering discipline. Internship, placement, or academic project experience in water or wastewater engineering is desirable, while familiarity with hydraulic principles, treatment processes, engineering calculations, and technical drawing packages will be advantageous. Knowledge of relevant design standards, health and safety practices, and environmental legislation is beneficial. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organisation, and a willingness to learn are essential. Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, hydraulic modelling tools, or Microsoft Office will be welcomed.
