Outpatient or inpatient physical therapist position located in Aurora, Colorado. Highlight Aurora’s proximity to Denver, the Rocky Mountains, and Denver International Airport. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program

Current, active Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Colorado

Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing physical therapist in an outpatient, acute care, or rehabilitation setting; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered depending on facility needs

Demonstrated proficiency in evaluation and treatment planning for a wide range of musculoskeletal and/or neurological conditions

Experience documenting in an electronic medical record system; Up-to-date vaccinations and health clearances as required by Colorado healthcare regulations and facility policy

Two or more years of experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic, sports, or acute care setting

Residency training or board certification in Orthopedic, Neurologic, or Sports Physical Therapy

Experience with post-surgical rehabilitation for common orthopedic procedures such as joint replacements, ACL reconstruction, and spine surgery

Background in treating a diverse patient population, including athletes, working professionals, and older adults

Experience with specialty programming such as balance and fall prevention, vestibular rehabilitation, or chronic pain management

Prior work experience in a large, multi-disciplinary healthcare environment

Comfort with productivity expectations while maintaining high-quality, patient-centered care

Demonstrated interest in quality improvement projects, mentorship, or clinical education of PT students

You will perform detailed assessments, develop individualized plans of care, provide therapeutic exercise and manual therapy, educate patients and families, and coordinate with other team members to ensure a safe, effective continuum of care. Patient caseloads and ratios are structured to balance productivity with quality of care. In outpatient settings, therapists generally see a steady flow of scheduled patients throughout the day with reasonable visit lengths that support thorough assessments and interventions. In inpatient or acute care settings, patient assignments are coordinated with nursing and other disciplines to ensure appropriate workloads and timely coverage across units such as medical-surgical, post-operative, and specialty floors. Therapists are encouraged to use outcome measures and evidence-based protocols to track progress and guide treatment decisions. Shifts are typically daytime hours on weekdays, with the possibility of occasional weekend or holiday rotations depending on the department’s needs.
