Determines acceptability of specimens by performing visual inspections or by recognizing abnormal/unusual results.

Documents unacceptable specimens according to policy. Identifies problems with specimens, test orders, registration and takes appropriate action.

Handles troubleshooting professionally and communicates with coworkers and customers when delays occur.

Certified or eligible for certification in clinical laboratory science by recognized certifying agencies.

Clinical Laboratory Science Certified within 1 year.
