Ambulatory Care Nurse PRN

Overview Premier Physicians is currently seeking a PRN / RN for our Ambulatory Surgery Center . New Grads are welcome to apply! Our growing group practice encompasses internal and family medicine, medical and surgical specialties, and has comprehensive on-site diagnostic centers conveniently located in the communities we serve in the Cleveland metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities Provides general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.

Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.

Observes, records and reports patients’ condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Educate patients/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.

Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.

Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. State RN license. RN degree, BSN preferred.

Minimum of one-year professional nursing experience. Membership in local, state, and national societies is encouraged.

Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations, and practices to give and evaluate patient care.

Skills in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.

Skill in preparing /maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.

Abilities Ability to maintain quality control standards.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Environmental/Working Conditions/Physical Demands Combination of office and exam settings. Equipment/Tools Surgical Equipment, Oxygen, Office equipment, and medical equipment for taking vital signs.
