Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical OncologyThis position offers guaranteed hours and is scheduled to start on December 14th. The role is based in a 36-bed Medical-Surgery/Oncology unit in Independence, Missouri, with a patient ratio of 1:6.Unit InformationNumber of Beds: 36Patient Ratios: 1:6Staffing Description: Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary availableType of Equipment: I-med, I-mobile, Neurons (vital signs monitoring), Glucometer, PCA, Wound vac, Chest Tubes, Surgical DrainsDocumentation System: MeditechScheduling Requirements: Every other weekendPatient PopulationThis unit serves Med-Surg, Oncology, and Hospice patients, as well as hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring without interventions.Required QualificationsTeam-orientedPositive AttitudeAbility to remain active and engagedPatient-centered approachCertificationsBLS CertificationTypical Procedures PerformedWound Vac changesDrain RemovalIV/PICC line placementFoley catheter insertion/removalNG tube insertion/removalFloating AreasStaff may float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed, primarily for Med-Surg level patients.Dress CodeNurses: Pewter (gray) uniformsPCTs: Caribbean Blue uniformsWork ScheduleNo on-call requiredEvery third weekend required
