The individual will be responsible for the safe handling of small to large components and materials (sheet metal, structure) using a forklift. They will also load, unload, transport and store the goods using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet truck or hand truck.
Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.
Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documents
Identify the components & materials received
Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)
Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials
Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment
Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)
Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory
Participate to inventory/material counts
Participate when required in the loading of units
Education: High School Diploma
Computer Skills: ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)
Forklift license required and overhead crane license (an asset)
Work at a steady pace and produce quality work
Proficiency in English communication, both oral and written.
