Full-Time Senior Paralegal

Norton Rose Fulbright is hiring an IP Disputes Paralegal to join the Intellectual Property team. The position is responsible for support lawyers engaged in IP disputes and litigation, and experience with arbitration and trial preparation/attendance is required.

Understand litigation motion practice, discovery, trial, and appellate procedures and ability to administratively manage all phases of an IP litigation case

Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods and procedures relating to infringement of IP rights

Assist with trial preparation, by drafting and organizing required documents and files

Efficiently manage document files including correspondence, court papers, case records, and materials produced in the discovery process

Experience gathering patent documents from the USPTO databases and researching technical references

Online substantive research, filing, and other administrative duties, as assigned

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant patent paralegal experience

In lieu of bachelor's degree, 9 years of relevant patent paralegal experience

Understanding of litigation procedures and patent-related procedures, including IPRs and PGRs

Patent and Trademark Office post-grant filing procedure

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

Ability to work overtime when required
