Weekend Registered Nurse - Day Shift

OR Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, working 5x8 hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Weekend coverage typically required every 4th weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide surgical support to patients across various procedures.

Responsibilities:

Assisting surgeons during various surgical procedures including but not limited to hysterectomies, amputations, and joint replacements.

Maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring patient safety throughout all stages of surgery.

Providing preoperative and postoperative care to patients.

Managing and documenting patient information and surgical outcomes using the Epic charting system.

Participating in on-call rotation as required, typically for weekday shifts from 3 PM to 7 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 4 years of experience in an acute care operating room setting.

Must possess a valid South Carolina RN license or a valid Compact license.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Experience with various surgical techniques and procedures is essential.
