divh2RN - Emergency Dept, Full Time Days, Sign on Bonus Available up to $5K/h2pPiedmont Eastside Medical Center- Emergency Dept/ppWe are looking for positive, self-motivated, engaged and excited for growth individuals to join our team/pp38 bed Emergency Department that sees on average 160 patients a day that present with various acuities./ppWe are a primary Stroke and Stemi receiving facility that is able to intervene and administer thrombolytics./ppTwo helicopter pads on campus for utilization/ppWe have 5 PODs in our department, depending on acuity, is where the patient will be assigned/ppBehavioral Health Pod/ppWe have Charge nurses, ED Flow Coordinators, Paramedics, ED Techs, PCTs, Mental Health Technicians and Unit Secretaries who work in close collaboration with the ED Providers to provide exceptional care/ppAll staff members must have a BLS to work in this unit/ppResponsibilities:/ppRESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care./Performs patient assessments to include collection of data regarding the patients physical, psychosocial and health history./Appropriately evaluates the developmental age of the patient when performing assessments, treatments and patient/family education./Organizes patient data into the formulation of a plan of care; identifies additional information needed and makes care decisions based on identified needs.
