Electrical Design Engineer EIT (Commercial Projects)
Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year

Job Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, designing power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for institutional and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience from engineering consulting firms, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and related software, and strong communication and team‑working skills.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.

Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.

Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.

Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.

Perform 3D Revit and 2D CAD work, including detailed design requirements.

Complete project designs, drawings in 3D Revit and/or 2D CAD, site observations, specifications, calculations, equipment selection and application, correspondence, survey, code studies, and construction administration as necessary.

Interface directly with clients and end users to understand and document expectations and lead the project during design and construction.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail, and high level of written and verbal communication skills.

Be a team player with strong people skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university.

Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.

EIT certification desired.

Proficiency in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
