Registered Nurse- Telemetry Cardiac Care

Position Summary Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Progressive Care unit in ElPaso, TX. As a key member of our Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to adult cardiac and cardiovascular step‑down patients in a fast‑paced, technology‑rich environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, monitor cardiac status and telemetry, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with cardiologists, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate care, support safe transitions, and optimize patient outcomes.

Manage patients with cardiac monitoring, post‑interventional and post‑surgical cardiac conditions, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other complex comorbidities.

Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, lifestyle changes, and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Uphold infection prevention and hospital safety standards, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning.

Qualifications Registered Nurse licensure.

Compassionate, detail‑oriented RN with strong critical‑thinking, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize effectively, remain calm under pressure, and advocate for patients and families.

Experience and knowledge in telemetry and progressive care preferred.

Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed, in a 24/7 acute care environment.
