Security Professional Flex Full Time

Anyone traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day.
Provides protection for staff, patients, visitors, volunteers, physicians, students, and property at the hospital(s) in accordance with policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures relating to security to ensure a safe environment at CHN.
Monitors parking facilities, pedestrian, and vehicular traffic in accordance with department and hospital policy. Responds to security alarms and emergency situations.
Identifies and collects data needed for problem solving. Clearly and concisely documents actions taken or incidence involvement.
Fire, Disaster, etc. - May, when so assigned, serves in capacity of K-9 unit (handler and dog) according to Carondelet K-9 Security Guidelines.
Utilizes equipment used in department (i.e. two way radio communication, o.c. spray, etc.).
Event Reporting System) using established policies and procedures.
Keeps aware of new security trends.
When assigned, serves in capacity as a shuttle/courier driver.
Monitors and promotes compliance with hospital policies such as solicitation, smoking, and visiting hours.
Facilitates required departmental adjustments to ensure cost-effective delivery of quality services.
Conducts investigation of reported situations and documents accordingly.
Assists Director and Operations Leads to achieve established goals of the department and CHN.
When assigned, performs in a shift lead capacity and delegates actions to be taken when Supervisory personnel are unavailable.
May be required to assist in training of new Security Officers.
Qualifications Education:High School Diploma or GED
Experience:Customer service experience (hospital or other relevant experience).
Basic Training Certification must be completed within 1 year from the date of hire.
Preferred Requirements Experience:One (1) year prior security experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
